About Us

Website Diorama Logo

Hi! We are The Moment Makers, an all-girl FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team and alumni FIRST LEGO League (FLL) team that has competed successfully in multiple international competitions. In the spirit of coopertition, we made this website to give back to the community. We have learned so much about gears, machines, structural building, and programming through LEGO. Our website shares ways of thinking about STEM concepts through LEGO. We will continue posting information on how to build with LEGO Technic in a sturdy way and how to build functioning machines. We will also share MINDSTORMS and SPIKE programming advice with blocks and text-based programming languages. Our hope is to reach other kids and teach them STEM concepts through LEGO in a fun way. At the same time, we hope to help active FIRST LEGO League teams in their journeys.

Our team has been around since 2016. We were in FIRST LEGO League for five years, and this is our second year in FIRST Tech Challenge. When we started, other teams helped us learn the basics of building and programming. Since then, we have wanted to make our own website to help other teams by sharing problems we had and things that we learned. We hope you learn a lot from our posts!

We want to thank our sponsors for making our FIRST team possible, as well as encouraging our outreach efforts.

Our articles are written by one or more students on our team. As kids, we want to protect our privacy and will list all articles as written by “amomentmaker.”
