We are really excited for the 2019-2020 season in FIRST LEGO League! The theme this year is City Shaper! FIRST LEGO League (FLL) is such a great program for kids ages 9-14 years old (age restrictions are different in other parts of the world, so check for your region). Get involved if you can as a team member or coach! Even if you do not have time to be fully involved, you can still volunteer or attend the many tournaments across the world!!!
FIRST LEGO League has released the challenge information for the 2019-2020 season City Shaper here. You can find out information about the innovation project for the year, FLL core values, and all of the LEGO mission requirements and model instructions. The season officially started on August 1, but field kits and the new engineering design notebooks are in the process of being shipped. This is a great time to join FLL and register your team!
This Thursday, August 15 at 12 noon Eastern time, FIRSTtv on Twitch will have a video with more information about the season. Click on the link here to watch with us!
What are some of your favorite missions this year? Our favorite is mission #7 the “swing” because the minifigure looks like one of our team members! We also love the message of making things more inclusive for everyone. The bridge that spans the two competition boards as part of mission #1 “elevated places” is incredible. We can’t wait to see it in action at the competitions with robots successfully raising the flags at the bridge’s peak! Contact us to share your favorite missions!
Be sure to get registered and get building, designing, and making innovations! Don’t forget to watch FIRSTtv on Thursday.
